revolutions
Celebrating local dance and physical theatre
Wednesday 17th October, 7.00pm
This inaugural project brings together local student performers and performances to create an exciting festival exploring the relationship between dance and theatre.
revolutions is a varied programme of short, fresh and inventive movement pieces that explore the spectrum and relationship between dance and theatre.
Inspired by this arts festival's theme and working with Frantic Assembly, the groups have devised their own unique work that will be presented on the E M Forster's main stage.
The Arts Festival and Tonbridge School Drama Department are delighted to support a residency from Frantic Assembly, one of the UK's leading physical theatre companies. In the build-up to the festival, a practitioner from the company will be spending a week working with six local secondary schools. The result of some of this work may be seen at revolutions.
Frantic Assembly produces theatre that is fresh, innovative and exciting, giving a passion and immediacy to the spoken word and physical language.
